Overview Orrick currently has an excellent opportunity for a Sr. IT Quality Assurance Engineer in our Wheeling, WV , Austin , and Houston offices. This is a hybrid position. Responsibilities In conjunction with the IT PMO Manager and other firm members, the Sr. IT Quality Assurance Engineer will design and execute tests to identify software defects and ensure the solution meets quality standards and project requirements. The engineer will also help develop best practices for software testing frameworks and procedures at the firm. Lead the QA team in developing and implementing best practices for software testing and test automation frameworks. Guide the team in updating, implementing, and maintaining testing procedures and standards. Review business processes and develop strategies for optimization. Evaluate testing tools and processes, recommending improvements. Mentor junior QA engineers and team members. Design and execute manual and automated test plans based on software requirements. Review system specifications for comprehensive test coverage. Perform various testing types, including functional, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing. Analyze test results, document defects, and report findings to the development team. Collaborate with developers to resolve quality issues and develop effective test strategies. Maintain and update automation frameworks for efficiency. Manage knowledge systems and prioritize initiatives based on business needs. Ensure timely project deliverables and foster business relationships vital to the teams success. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience. 5-10 years of manual and automation testing experience. Strong knowledge of testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Visual Studio, JetBrains). Proficiency in scripting languages such as C#, Java, or Python. Experience with various testing methodologies and SDLC models like Agile, Waterfall, DevOps. Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) preferred. Experience with enterprise, web, desktop, mobile, and API testing. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Compensation and Benefits The salary range is $101,000 - $133,000.
