Overview Orrick currently has an excellent opportunity for a Sr. IT Quality Assurance Engineer in our Wheeling, WV , Austin , and Houston offices. This is a hybrid position. Responsibilities The Sr. IT Quality Assurance Engineer will work with the IT PMO Manager and team to design and execute tests, identify software defects, and ensure quality standards are met. Key duties include: Leading the QA team in developing and implementing testing best practices and automation frameworks. Updating and maintaining testing procedures and standards. Reviewing business processes for optimization. Evaluating and improving testing tools and processes. Mentoring junior QA staff. Designing manual and automated test plans based on software requirements. Analyzing system specifications for comprehensive test coverage. Performing various testing types, including functional, regression, and performance testing. Tracking and documenting defects and test results. Collaborating with developers and stakeholders to resolve issues and develop test strategies. Maintaining automation frameworks. Managing enterprise knowledge systems and prioritizing initiatives. Monitoring project deliverables and building business relationships. Qualifications Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience. 5-10 years of manual and automation testing experience. Proficiency with testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Visual Studio, JetBrains). Experience with scripting languages like C#, Java, Python. Knowledge of software testing methodologies and processes. Certification such as ISTQB is preferred. Experience with various testing types and SDLC models. Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Compensation and Benefits The salary range is $101,000 - $133,000, with additional benefits including health insurance, mental health programs, family and pet care benefits, disability coverage, parental leave, HSA contributions, flexible spending accounts, and a 401K plan.
