Job responsibilities Develops and implements standards and best practices for platform engineering, deployment, and production observability across a broad range of applications within the organization. Collaborates with SRE, DevOps, architects, engineering directors, and senior application engineers to integrate business and technology requirements into platform engineering and deployment strategies. Provides regular technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors Drives the adoption of best practices, ensuring high standards of quality, security, and efficiency are maintained across all projects. Develops tools and practices for ensuring adherence to application standards and approaches. Creates and manages POCs to evaluate the feasibility and impact of new technologies and methodologies, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements. Leads initiatives to enhance production observability by integrating advanced monitoring and logging solutions into existing and new products. Explores and develops strategies for implementing cutting-edge platform engineering technologies across the organization, ensuring alignment with the firm's long-term objectives. Advises cross-functional teams on matters within the domain of expertise. Creates durable, reusable tools that are leveraged across teams and functions. Influences leaders and senior stakeholders across business, product, and technology teams Contributes to the team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect. Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 5+ years of applied experience, including platform engineering, deployment, and observability. Hands-on experience building and maintaining observability tools Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability Expertise in Splunk, Tableau, and related tools Strong skillset in AI, particularly in enhancing production observability processes. Advanced knowledge of software application development and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in multiple technical disciplines (., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, Web UI, . Experience applying expertise and new methods to determine solutions for complex technology problems in one or more technical disciplines Experience with cloud technologies and their integration into platform engineering and production observability processes.
