Responsibilities: Perform D modelling, detailing, and Mechanical design of electromechanical, power generation, and distribution products. Should have a strong knowledge of various material properties and use, fabrication methods (Sheetmetal & Machined Parts, surface coatings, finishes, adhesives, lubricants, and enclosure environmental sealing. Design and develop bus bar systems & wiring layouts for electrical distribution and power management while maintaining adherence to the applicable standards. Perform detailed engineering analysis and calculations to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Should perform finite element analysis and thermal analysis activities to evaluate Product performance. Support for Proto Build Activities and FAI Component Proof-of-Concept. Develops technical reports and documentation; prepares technical proposals and cost estimates. Develops and manages BOMs and design documentation; performs configuration control activities. Prepares and delivers technical presentations and participates in design reviews. Works cooperatively in a design-build team environment with goals of specification compliance, manufacturability, testability, achieving cost targets, and schedule adherence. Researches, recommends, and develops technologies, processes, and methods to meet and advance customer goals. Must be personable, possess good communication skills, both written and oral, and be comfortable presenting before an audience. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering Excellent written and oral communication skills, Expertise with Microsoft Office Suite, including EXCEL and PowerPoint. Perform D modelling, detailed design, development, and modification of mechanical and electro-mechanical systems (Actuator, Motors, Fans) and Electronic/ power systems packaging using SolidWorks. Provide technical support for existing products to upgrade and support ECN's implementation. Assist in the drawings release process in ARAS / with exposure to working in a PLM environment. Exposure to GD&T skills and able to do tolerance stack-up analysis. Preferred Skills: Design experience in packaging of electromechanical actuators, motors, fans, and power systems used in Energy applications by considering EMI/EMC, Structural, and Thermal requirements. Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering principles. Working knowledge of Thermal and Structural / Finite Element Analysis using Tools like SolidWorks, Simulation, or ANSYS. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
