Expected salary range: $121,500 to $135,000, depending on experience, plus benefits including bonus and 401(k). PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION Responsible for creating and modifying simulation software logic and dynamic models used at a nuclear power plant in the Main Control Room Simulator. Tasks include software maintenance, minor plant modifications, and enhancements with minimal support. The role involves working independently, advising the Training Department on simulator technology, coordinating tasks, and collaborating with teams. It focuses on developing and improving simulation features, reviewing peer code, and participating in a cross-functional team. PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES Lead planning, designing, building, or managing simulator solutions for CEC projects. Create, modify, and document simulation software logic and dynamic models. Manage software configuration and ensure risk mitigation. Research and implement new technologies, staying updated on trends. Provide second-tier support for other simulators as needed. Participate in fleet-wide projects and collaborate with business partners to meet needs. Perform additional duties such as emergency response and outage support as required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in engineering (chemical, civil/structural, electrical, industrial, mechanical, or nuclear) with 5 years of related experience, or Associate's degree in engineering with 7 years of related experience. Must meet access and medical requirements. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's in mechanical or nuclear engineering with 7+ years of experience. Knowledge of nuclear plant operations, programming in FORTRAN and C, and experience with simulation software and project management. Proficiency with Visual Studio, GIT, Windows OS, network topology, and software interface protocols. Strong communication, problem-solving, and team skills.
