As a Senior Software Engineer at Central Dispatch in Logistics, you’ll contribute to the evolution of the country’s largest self-managed auto transportation platform. You’ll help design and deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable systems that connect shippers with a vast network of carriers. This role focuses on design, execution, collaboration, and continuous improvement—driving innovation in logistics through clean code and thoughtful architecture. Your Role Delivering Quality Code Design, develop, and maintain web applications and services using modern frameworks and cloud infrastructure. Write clean, testable code and implement automated testing and CI/CD pipelines. Maintain and troubleshoot production systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver roadmap features and improve platform capabilities. Focus on performance, scalability, and security. Discovery Rotation Rotate between a scrum team and a discovery squad Drive the discovery process and propose innovative solutions to solve real, customer-facing challenges Fostering a culture of experimentation Partner with stakeholders from multiple domains to help shape strategic direction and ensure the platform remains resilient and competitive in a rapidly evolving industry Mentoring and Team Support Guide and mentor junior engineers, providing them with the knowledge and skills needed to grow in their roles. Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure high-quality standards and to provide constructive feedback to junior team members. Assist in providing technical guidance and support to the team, ensuring that best practices are followed. Help with regularly updating stakeholders on progress and challenges, ensuring clear and effective communication. Continuous Improvement Process Improvement: Continuously enhance development processes. Learning and Development: Stay updated with industry trends and encourage team development. Technology We Use .NET (C#) React, Typescript, Single SPA PostgreSQL Docker RESTful APIs (creating as well as leveraging/integrating 3rd Party APIs) AWS (EC2, SQS, SNS, Elasticache, and RDS) JetBrains Developer Tool suite Git Rally New Relic Splunk PagerDuty Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 4 years’ experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and 2 years’ experience; a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience; or 8 years’ experience in a related field Proficiency in C#, React and SQL Able to be in-office a minimum of two, 8-hr working days per week Preferred Qualifications Cloud experience (AWS preferred) Experience working with artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, or a strong curiosity and desire to incorporate AI into future development work Experience breaking down large concepts into actionable feature sets Drug Testing To be employed in this role, you’ll need to clear a pre-employment drug test.
