We are seeking a Staff Backend Engineer in our Ads Engineering team, empowering groundbreaking mobile advertising technologies to create the next generation of our Publisher Ads Platform. Responsibilities Design and develop a highly scalable, available, and reliable Publisher Ads & Monetization platform handling billions of requests daily. Collaborate with architects and engineers to craft backend systems. Work with product and engineering teams on multi-functional projects. Partner with DevOps to ensure operational excellence. Mentor junior engineers and foster a collaborative environment. Knowledge & Skills Proven experience leading high-performance services in Java. Experience with AdTech platforms, such as ad serving and demand-side platforms, is preferred. Knowledge of NoSQL systems like Bigtable, Elasticsearch. Expertise in Java, JMeter, and performance engineering. Experience with multithreading and asynchronous processing. Designing end-to-end system architectures. Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork experience. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience. Key Attributes Experience with cloud platforms like Google Cloud or AWS. Knowledge of CI/CD, test automation, Jenkins, Gradle. Familiarity with open source tools like Docker, Kubernetes, BigQuery. The U.S. salary range is $111,780 - $206,882 annually, with potential incentives. Compensation is negotiable based on experience and location.
