You’ll help translate TigerData’s database architecture into credible, high-signal assets that drive developer adoption, technical understanding, and market awareness.You will work hands-on with engineering, product, and docs teams to:Craft technically rigorous narratives,Build and publish performance benchmarks,Contribute example queries and reference architectureHelp technical decision-makers understand why TigerData is the Postgres for real-time and AI-native applications.This is a perfect role for someone with deep infrastructure experience who wants to shape go-to-market strategy without giving up their technical edge.Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Positioning & MessagingDevelop messaging that resonates with infrastructure teams, architects, and hands-on builders.Translate Postgres-powered architecture into clear, compelling positioning—across time-series, vector, and hybrid workloads.Craft developer-native language that bridges TigerData’s real-time performance, reliability, and scalability.Technical Content CreationCreate hands-on technical content, including:Benchmark reports and performance comparisonsEngineering blogs with working SQL and schema diagramsProduct walkthroughs, solution briefs, and explainer videosBuild technical artifacts like:Sample queries and schema modelsReference architectures and demo apps (e.g., real-time dashboards, agentic search)Performance BenchmarkingDesign and run benchmarks that demonstrate TigerData’s performance and architectural advantages.Collaborate with engineering to test ingestion rates, query throughput, latency, compression, and vector retrieval speed.Turn results into clear, technically credible reports and visualizations.Keep competitive intelligence up to date through hands-on testing of alternatives (e.g., ClickHouse, MongoDB, Pinecone, etc.).Developer Docs & Tutorials (Contributions)Collaborate with technical writers to shape documentation, onboarding guides, and tutorials.Contribute example queries, schema patterns, and integration instructions (Kafka, dbt, LangChain, etc.).Ensure docs reflect how real developers use TigerData in production.Market Research & Competitive PositioningAnalyze the broader infra and AI ecosystem, including developer trends and evolving architectures.Build competitive guides, battlecards, and feature comparisons for technical buyers.Stay sharp on emerging tools in the real-time and AI-native stack.GTM Strategy & Launch ExecutionOwn technical GTM for new feature launches and infrastructure capabilities.Collaborate with product, engineering, and marketing to develop narratives, demos, and high-impact launch content.Ensure every launch resonates with developers and drives measurable adoption.Sales & Field EnablementEquip Sales, SEs, and Customer Success with technical materials:Decks, whitepapers, and real-world examplesVertical-specific playbooks and decision guidesPerformance talking points grounded in benchmarksDeveloper Feedback & API UXAct as a technical proxy for real developers: test APIs, build with them, and deliver actionable feedback to product teams.Shape how Postgres extensions, vector search, and time-series features are presented and used.What You Bring (Required)Deep infrastructure experience—you understand how modern data systems are built, deployed, and scaled.Strong proficiency in PostgreSQL, including schema design, indexing, query planning, and performance tuning.Experience designing or running technical benchmarks, ideally in high-ingest or real-time environments.Ability to communicate complex infrastructure trade-offs to developers in clear, actionable terms.Strong writing skills with a portfolio of technical blogs, docs, or reports.Comfort collaborating across product, engineering, docs, and GTM teams.Bonus Skills (Nice To Have)Experience with:Vector databases (e.g., pgvector, Pinecone, Weaviate)Time-series architecturesEvent streaming and orchestration tools (Kafka)Previous work in developer tools, AI infrastructure, or open-source ecosystemsWhat Success Looks LikeDevelopers instantly understand TigerData’s value—and how to use it—because your content is credible, practical, and technically sharp.Benchmarks showcase performance wins with real data and clear storytelling.New feature launches include demos, SQL examples, and architecture diagrams that developers actually reference.TigerData becomes the go-to choice for teams building high-throughput, real-time, or AI-native systems.Our Commitment:We respond to every applicant.We review applications fairly and objectively, and shortlist based on relevant skills and experience.We ensure clear and timely communication throughout your candidate journey.We maintain a rigorous interview process with a high bar, designed to give you the opportunity to meet various team members you'll collaborate with across our organization.About TigerDataTigerData, formerly Timescale, sets the standard as the fastest PostgreSQL platform for modern workloads.
