As a software engineer on the platform team, you will be working directly on the systems that power our ML pipeline, Web platform, and Edge devices. You will leverage both your software and infrastructure engineering experience to lay the foundation for critical services which customers depend on to make their workplaces safer. As part of the platform team you will collaborate with engineers on other teams to help ensure the reliability and availability of our product.What You'll DoYou will contribute to the development, scaling, and securing of large distributed systems, data processing pipelines, access control systems, and Cloud APIsSolve unique technical challengesDevelop, test, and deploy services within the Voxel ecosystemInfluence the technical direction of the teamUphold high code quality and architectural design standardsDesign scalable and resilient systems and servicesCollaborate with passionate engineers, product managers, and team membersQualifications5+ years of experience with REST, API design patterns, scalable containerized systems, and microservicesExperience building large distributed systems and handling scalability, with expertise in Flink, Kafka, or Kinesis for stream processingDemonstrated experience in designing, architecting, and delivering large-scale distributed systems, from concept to productionHands-on experience with Terraform and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Experience designing and scaling large-scale machine learning or computer vision pipelinesExpertise in Kubernetes for deploying and managing distributed workloadsWhy Join Us?Join a visionary team revolutionizing safety and operations, directly impacting the well-being of millions of essential workers.
