Purpose
The Staff Frontend Software Engineer is responsible for the hands-on design, development, testing, and delivery of frontend software systems, including React-based user interfaces, component libraries, client-side rendering solutions, and responsive web applications.
The Staff Frontend Software Engineer role is a highly advanced software engineering position that consistently takes on responsibilities beyond individual contributions, driving the success of the broader frontend team and cross-functional initiatives.
Position Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex frontend features.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.
- Drive best practices in software development, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define and deliver product features.
- Lead research and development of innovative, experimental features
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks and scalability challenges.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure code quality and adherence to standards.
- Contribute to the development of technical documentation and guidelines.
- Drive improvements to the development process and tooling.
- Contribute to upgrading and maintaining core web technologies (React, NextJS, Node.JS)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7+ years of professional experience in frontend software development.
- Expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks such as React.
- Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, Typescript and related web technologies.
- Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Zustand, Redux) and frontend testing frameworks (e.g., Jest).
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS)
