In this role, you’ll lead the design and implementation of systems that help customers harness our infrastructure for high-performance AI workloads. Staff Engineers at Voltage Park are hands-on technical leaders. As a Staff Engineer, you’ll play a key role in shaping our product, systems, and culture.If you join us, you’ll be an early team member and help us shape:Our engineering practices and technical directionThe architecture behind our AI infrastructure platformA high-performance, high-ownership engineering cultureThe trajectory of our products and how we serve customersWhat You’ll DoDesign and build core systems that enable customers to run advanced AI workloads at scaleLead cross-functional engineering efforts that span infrastructure, platform, and hardware layersOwn complex technical projects end-to-end—from architecture through to production operationsCollaborate with product, infrastructure, and hardware teams to deliver cohesive solutionsWrite high-quality code and set a high bar through design reviews and mentorshipContribute to engineering practices that prioritize simplicity, performance, and reliabilityWho You Are7+ years of experience building and operating production-grade systemsStrong programming skills in one or more languages (e.g., Rust, Go, Python)Proven experience designing and owning large-scale systems or featuresComfortable navigating ambiguity and driving clarity in technical executionEffective communicator and collaborator across engineering and product teamsHolds a high bar for quality, performance, and operational excellenceIdeal ExperiencesExperience running or integrating with GPU infrastructure, AI/ML workloads, or distributed compute systemsSuccessfully scaled infrastructure to support rapid product growthDeep experience in performance optimization, resource scheduling, or multi-tenant infrastructureExperience with cloud infrastructure, containerized environments, or orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker)Experience with AWS or other major cloud providersPrior experience in fast-moving environments or a high-stakes infrastructure teamPlease note: This is a full-time, in-office role based at our headquarters in San Francisco, CA or Redmond, WA.
