Power Delivery Civil Engineer
Location: Norcross, GA
We are looking for a dynamic Civil Engineer to be part of our team focusing on power delivery projects. This role will involve technical civil design, coordination with various teams, and participation in the development of substations and related infrastructure. You will have the opportunity to be involved in projects from start to finish, gaining valuable hands-on experience. Main Responsibilities
Work collaboratively with a diverse group of engineers, designers, and technical personnel.
Provide technical support for civil and structural engineering projects.
Conduct initial site research, feasibility studies, and early-stage engineering tasks during the planning phase.
Execute civil engineering designs including layout, grading, drainage, paving, and erosion control.
Design stormwater management systems using hydrology/hydraulics modeling tools and prepare SWPPP reports.
Analyze geotechnical reports and subsurface data for foundation and site design.
Assist with structural analysis using STAAD or other finite element software.
Contribute to foundation design, including shallow pads, spread footings, and pier/caisson types.
Prepare documentation for permits in compliance with state and local regulations.
Write and review technical reports, specifications, and design narratives.
Participate in internal quality assurance and quality control reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Help with cost estimating and construction document preparation.
Visit project sites for field assessments, client interactions, and construction coordination.
Minimum Qualifications
Hold a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
Must have EIT certification and plans to obtain a P.E. license within 1224 months.
23 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, preferably in a consulting setting.
Proficient in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D , including Hydraflow tools.
Experience in site design, land development, stormwater, and drainage design.
Knowledge of permitting processes and regulatory compliance in multiple areas.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for client and public meetings.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
Willingness to travel up to 20% annually.
