Position Summary:
Global Partner Solutions is seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to support our aerospace client on a contract basis. Acting as the primary quality liaison between our client and its U.S.-based suppliers-primarily located in the Greater Los Angeles area-the SQE will manage supplier quality issues, support corrective actions, and help ensure overall supplier performance meets client expectations.
This role is ideal for a self-driven independent contractor who is confident working independently, engaging directly with suppliers, and supporting quality-related initiatives on the ground.
Note: Mileage and commute-related travel between supplier sites will be reimbursed.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary supplier quality representative for the client in the U.S., with a strong focus on suppliers in the Los Angeles region.
Support, manage, and drive supplier corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) to closure.
Conduct on-site supplier visits as needed to resolve quality issues, verify compliance, and assess quality processes.
Proactively identify and mitigate quality risks before product shipment.
Monitor supplier performance and generate detailed reports for upper-level management.
Engage with internal teams and suppliers through Microsoft Teams video calls to align on quality goals and timelines.
Maintain thorough documentation using Microsoft Excel and client-specific systems.
Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in supplier quality within the aerospace industry.
Solid understanding of corrective action processes, root cause analysis, and quality system standards.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, charts, and basic formulas) and comfortable using Microsoft Teams.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to effectively interface with suppliers and senior stakeholders.
Must be flexible and available to travel within the Greater Los Angeles area and occasionally to other regional suppliers.
Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
Legally authorized to work in the U.S. as a 1099 independent contractor.
Preferred Qualifications: Working knowledge of AS9100 or similar aerospace quality standards.
Experience with remote work tools and the ability to operate with minimal supervision.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Contract Details: Length: 6+ months (with potential for extension)
Weekly Hours: 40 hrs

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate (1099 basis)
