We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Systems Engineer to support the Army Program Executive Office Missiles and Space (PEO MS), Integrated Fires Rapid Mission Command (IFMC) program. The selected candidate will play a critical role in providing technical leadership and systems engineering expertise to advance the development, integration, and delivery of the Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) within the Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) architecture. This position requires experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) initiatives, strong communication skills, and a comprehensive understanding of systems integration in support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct systems engineering support to the IFMC program and coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet evolving technical and programmatic objectives.
- Develop and maintain system architecture and design documents for IBCS capabilities in alignment with mission requirements and operational concepts.
- Lead and support technical planning, analysis, and execution of capability delivery to the warfighter, including development, integration, test, and transition to fielding.
- Analyze cost, schedule, and performance factors for system components integrated into the IAMD architecture, and assist leadership in conducting engineering assessments, trade studies, and development of Courses of Action (COAs).
- Support the planning and coordination of engineering test events by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to define objectives, align resources, and ensure successful execution and data collection.
- Coordinate across internal government organizations and external stakeholders to ensure effective planning and integration of capabilities into experimental, developmental, and operational test events.
- Collaborate with end users to capture and refine requirements, develop concepts of operation (CONOPS), and align system functionality with mission goals.
- Prepare and deliver regular program updates, technical status briefings, and senior-level presentations for internal and external government leadership.
- Foster long-term customer relationships and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction across program initiatives.
- Contribute to and support execution of a strategic growth plan for the IFMC portfolio by identifying new business opportunities, aligning emerging requirements with company capabilities, and driving technical innovation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical discipline.
- 3-10 years of systems engineering and technical project management experience in defense or aerospace environments.
- Demonstrated experience planning and executing complex system-of-systems (SoS) integration efforts, including requirements definition, architecture development, integration, testing, and transition.
- Prior involvement in DoD system lifecycle activities, from concept development through deployment and sustainment.
- Strong understanding of U.S. military operations, threat environments, and emerging defense technologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Active DoD Secret security clearance is required.
- Citizenship is required due to security clearance and export control requirements.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience supporting Army missile defense, air defense, or command and control (C2) programs.
- Prior experience working with IBCS, IAMD, or similar large-scale integrated systems.
- Experience interfacing with Army capability developers, testers, and operational users.
- Familiarity with large-scale system integration efforts, including experience coordinating complex interfaces, ensuring interoperability, and supporting cross-functional engineering teams.
