Links Technology is currently seeking a motivated and skilled Systems Engineer 3 to join our client's team in Annapolis Junction, MD . Our client is part of a cutting-edge growing Cyber Security project that will make a huge impact on the DOD/Intel community. This is an On-Site  role offering the opportunity to be part of a team performing traditional System Engineering and Vulnerability research with a focus on Offensive and Defensive Cyber Operations activities, supporting assessments of large-scale weapons systems and other national security operations.
Responsibilities of the Systems Engineer 3:
Provide technical direction for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing of complex hardware/software systems, including requirements elicitation, analysis, and functional allocation. Conduct system requirements reviews, develop concepts of operation and interface standards, and develop system architectures. Perform technical/non-technical assessment and management, as well as end-to-end flow analysis. Implement comprehensive SOA solutions. Implement operational view, technical standards view, and systems and services view for architectures using applicable DOD (DoDAF) standards. Collaborate with teams to achieve successful system engineering tasks.
Qualifications of the Systems Engineer 3:
A BS Degree in a STEM-related field, along with 8 years’ experience; OR A Master Degree in a STEM-related field, along with 6 years’ experience; OR High School diploma and 12 years of experience. System Engineering of DoD command, control, communications and intelligence (C3I) systems. Analyzing needs, deriving system-level requirements, and contributing to the design, development, and implementation and maintenance of computer networks and systems. At least three (3) years’ experience leading, managing, and collaborating with a broad range of organizations and groups/teams needed to accomplish the system engineering tasks. Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph clearance required. Associates in Electrical/Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or Information Systems desired.
Desired Additional Skills:
Experience with Cybersecurity and/or Systems Engineering practices (e.g., NIST SP 800-160, INCOSE, or other Systems Architecture/Engineering frameworks). Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to foster relationship development. Experience with independent verification & validation of security requirements and capabilities. Familiarity with weapons system development, sustainment, and security operations. Experience incorporating systems resiliency and security engineering concepts into acquisition documents (e.g., Performance Work Statements). Familiarity with cryptographic keys and protection requirements (CNSSI 4005). Familiarity with key loader devices and key loading procedures (i.e., SKL, RSKL, etc.). Familiarity with cryptographic algorithms, use cases, and their protections (i.e., Symmetric and Asymmetric crypto / Suite A, CNSA, Type-1, NIST FIPS 140-2 / US, FVEYS, Coalition). Experience with tactical communications systems (military radios), their transport (RF, SATCOM, WIFI, Cell, etc.), security protections (Freq. Hopping, LPI/LPD, etc.), and attacks (Jamming, Direction Finding). Experience with technical writing and the ability to think critically.

Pay Range: $133,330.56 - $157,572.48
