Overall Assignment Description of the Mid-Level Systems Engineer Apply a variety of skills across requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, services development, integration, testing, maintainability, and analysis for large, complex systems supporting the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency’s (NGA) NSG, ASG, and other Federal Agencies to ensure timely and accurate GEOINT. Duties of the Mid-Level Systems Engineer include Requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, services development, integration, testing, maintainability, and analysis. Planning and analysis of user requirements, architecture traceability, procedures, and automation of existing systems, including cloud service capabilities and workflow limitations. Create solution designs based on requirements and new technology. Mentor Junior Engineers in developing these skills. Assist in capturing and translating mission and customer requirements into system capabilities. Analyze and allocate requirements to system components and programs of record. Support systems integration activities. Assist with Analysis of Alternatives, Course of Actions, Trade Studies, and Engineering Assessments. Contribute to strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, risk management, and interface design. Required Skills and Experience US Citizenship US Top Secret / SCI Security Clearance 6+ Years relevant experience Bachelor’s degree or higher in Systems Engineering or related STEM fields, or equivalent experience Mid-level experience in government or industry in areas like DoD/IC acquisition, requirements process, or system engineering of large complex systems or cloud environments. Desired Skills and Experience Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering, software development frameworks, and certifications like INCOSE ASEP. Experience in geospatial intelligence, photogrammetry, remote sensing, GIS, or related fields.
