We are not accepting resumes from third parties and sponsorships are not provided for this role.  This position also requires the employee to be on-site. This is a direct hire opportunity.  We’re seeking a Systems Engineer for a permanent onsite position. This individual will maintain the design and integrity of customer’s systems, along with internal systems. In addition, mentoring other Engineers on improving skills will be a key work role. Essential Job Functions:Engineer and implement system solutions for customers using technologies that meet their needsAssist in developing and maintaining best practices for project proposalsDesign and implement advanced, large scale network configurationsTechnical support on mission critical systems at the network level: WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, wireless, and securityRemote access solution implementation and support: VPN, Terminal Services, and CitrixSupport of various systems including but not limited to: Hardware (Server, SAN, UPS), Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, Office 365, Skype for Business, LOB applications, backups and disaster recovery, and VOIPCommunication with customers and internal team members as required: keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes or agreed outagesEnter all work as service and project tickets into ConnectWise and account for all time with detailed time entries on ticketsEfficiently research and learn unfamiliar systemsAssist Technicians with troubleshooting methodologies Additional Duties:Improve customer service, perception, and satisfactionDevelop documentation and provide consultingCoordinate in development and maintenance of internal systemsProvide documentation and training for end-users and IT support techniciansProvide timely responses to customer requests and ensure that customer is happy with responseResponsible for entering time and expenses in ConnectWiseIn depth understanding of support tools, techniques, and how technology is used to provide IT servicesBusiness awareness: specific knowledge of the customer and how IT relates to their business strategy and goalsReview IT publications and online materials to remain up-to-date with current and future technologies emerging in the industry  Education/Specifications:5-7 years of relevant IT experience. 1-3 years of experience in Network Engineer or Senior Engineer roleSkilled in supporting, implementing, and maintaining Windows Server environment(s)Experience supporting VOIPStrong network design and troubleshooting skills covering a wide variety of networking equipmentAbility to train technical people in methodologies for troubleshooting and implementing complex systemsAbility to identify signs of problems or out of scope items and bring to attention of Project ManagerAbility to communicate technical information, both verbal and written, to a wide range of end-usersSkilled in planning and preparing written communicationsInterpersonal skills: such as telephony skills, communication skills, active listening and customer-careAbility to work in a team and communicate effectivelyUnderstanding of support tools, techniques, and how technology is used to provide IT servicesAbility to multi-task and adapt to changes quicklySelf-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment
