KBR is seeking to hire a Systems Engineer to perform a variety of engineering work in the development of an operable system capable of meeting requirements within imposed constraints including mass, cost and schedule. This candidate will perform functional analysis of a system to ensure it meets performance criteria and mission constraints and to feed the analysis results back to the subsystem development teams. Seeking an engineering generalist with knowledge in several different engineering disciplines such as electrical, mechanical and aerospace. Other job duties may include:
Formulates, recommends, and directs operations and procedures to resolve engineering and/or technical problems regarding operations, staffing, and equipment utilization on a specific project or projects.
Provides technical assistance and instruction relative to design problems and the resolution of construction or operating difficulties. Conducts special studies and investigations related to project activities and recommends changes as appropriate to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and meet changed or new requirements.
Analyzes project requirements and provides information and instruction for operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, designing, and modifying equipment as appropriate.
Experience managing team of technical personnel
Strong communication skills are required- work closely with the customer, assigning orders to team members, up channel information to leadership
Required Qualifications:
Active DoD clearance required
Bachelors in technical field (engineering) required
10+ years of experience
SCN experience required
Detailed knowledge of the RBC core
Detailed knowledge of antenna systems used across the network
Extensive troubleshooting on RBC core and multiple antenna systems
Knowledge of digital signal processing
Knowledge of RF to IP
Test experience
VCRMs to ensure testing satisfies requirements
Familiarity with automated test scripts: writing and running
RF testing
RBC console testing
RBC LRU testing
RBC systems testing
Basic Compensation:
$130-160k
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
