Position: Systems Integration & Test Engineer
Clearance: TS/SCI
Location: Aurora, CO
Contract Type: Contractor | Contract to Hire (minimum of 12 months)
Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Start Time: 12:00 AM
You will join a cross‑disciplinary engineering team focused on delivering ground‑systems solutions for government customers. As the Principal Systems Integration & Test Engineer, you'll support feature development, plan and execute test events, and help drive continuous improvement in an Agile environment.
What You Will Do
Collaborate with a cross‑disciplinary team of engineers leading the industry in ground‑systems solutions.
Support the Product Owner in completing tasks for Features and Capabilities requested by the government in support of government‑led test events.
Assist the Product Owner and Team in planning the team's scope to complete them efficiently during each program increment.
Elaborate and develop test plans and procedures; debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces.
Integrate, troubleshoot, and isolate software/containerized applications; develop test procedures and tools that capture performance‑based metrics in support of requirement sell‑off.
Address and prioritize issues as found in the system, identify and document results.
Participate in retrospectives and continuous‑improvement activities after each program increment.
Support various government‑led enterprise mission events and team backlog management.
Participate in program reviews and presentations to the customer and senior program management.
Regularly interact with the End‑User: manage business relationships, set expectations vs. contract scope, proactively address emerging needs, and identify results.
Collaborate with the Product Owner and align Product Team priorities with the Test Cross‑Product Lead.
Work independently to determine and develop approaches to solutions.
Travel as needed to support off‑site testing and meetings.
Operate in an Agile program environment and in a classified lab on‑site in Aurora, CO and at customer sites.
Qualifications You Must Have
Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
Minimum of 8 years' prior relevant systems integration and test experience
5+ years' experience with the systems engineering lifecycle
Experience developing test procedures that exercise internal interfaces between applications
Experience with systems engineering principles and activities
Experience testing software running on Linux‑based operating systems
Experience integrating, troubleshooting, and problem isolation of software/containerized applications
Experience developing test procedures and tools that capture performance‑based metrics in support of requirement sell‑off
Experience in system, software, and hardware development lifecycle models (waterfall and Agile)
Active, transferable U.S. government‑issued Top Secret/SCI clearance (U.S. citizenship required)
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience in Systems Integration and/or Test Engineering experience on a prototype / pursuit program, Experience in Systems Engineer process development and deployment
Experience working in an Agile or DevOps development environment
Experience using CI/CD, pipelines and container-based dev sec ops tools; gitlab, jenkins, artifactory, nexus, junit, pytest, sonarcube, coverity, docker, helm, harbor
Experience using acceptance test driven development, test driven development and behavior driven development methodologies and tools, cucumber, cypress, zephyr, java, python
Experience as a Product Owner, Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Agile Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools or similar tools; CameoEA, Jira, Confluence, ZephyrScale, Syndea
