Responsibilities
Partners with Business Units, Risk Management and Internal Audit to develop, promote and enforce standards and best practices to manage data as a corporate asset
Manages matrixed data steward teams for multiple business units or functional areas to deliver on data management andernance priorities
Partners with GDO (Group Data Officer) data councils to manage andern data
Coaches and guides GDOs and other senior leaders to effectively manage data risks while delivering value
Responsible for defining,municating and implementing data management roadmaps for business units and/or major functional areas (like Finance) in partnership with GDOs
Drives data management automation by directing matrixed teams to design, develop and implement related software solutions
Prioritizes the various needs and leads data management portion of data product development
Partners with data scientists to enable data product development through data and/or business domain expertise
Develops business requirements and leads implementation of technology platforms related to data quality, metadata management, data catalog and integration (like APIs for lineage tracking)
Assists management in addressing matters like Matters Requiring Attention (MRA) and Regulatory reporting related to the Fed and other external agencies
Leverages emerging technologies to drive efficiencies, incubate and pilot new data management capabilities and rapidly scale successful pilots
Participates in the build versus buy decision making process and vendor selection where applicable
Assists leadership to create success criteria and measurement approach for data management andernance
Acts as thought and execution leader in thepany for data management andernance
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position is incentive eligible.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree inputer science or business analytics
Ten (10) years of experience in banking or systems management with extensive experience interfacing with business stakeholders
Five (5) years of leading and managing teams (directly or in a matrixed environment)
Preferences
Master's degree or higher inputer Science or analytics
Business unit and functional domain expertise focused on banking
Skills &petencies
Executive levelmunication and partnership with senior leadership across multiple divisions in thepany
Progressive experience in core data management disciplines like dataernance, data quality management, metadata management, and master data management
Strongmunication and presentation skills
Track record of driving data management automation and technology modernization
Develop and implementprehensive data migration strategies for the transition from legacy systems to Temenos T24 or other Temenos banking solutions.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to define migration requirements, timelines, and scope.
Define Mock conversion strategy and execution plan.
Conduct data mapping between source and target systems, ensuring that data is correctly transformed for integration into Temenos.
Create and maintain detailed documentation of data mappings and transformation logic.
Extract data from various legacy systems, ensuring full and accurate extraction of financial, transactional, and customer data.
Perform initial data cleansing to remove inconsistencies and improve data quality before migration.
Conductprehensive testing and validation of migrated data to ensure it meets the agreed-upon requirements.
Resolve any discrepancies in data and perform re-migrations if necessary.
Coordinate with quality assurance teams to perform functional and system testing to ensure data integrity.
Error log analysis and co-ordinate with development and business teams for defect/issue remediation.
Utilize Temenos migration tools (, Temenos Data Migration Toolkit, Temenos Work Bench, TEP, TPM) and other ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools to automate data extraction, transformation, and loading.
Troubleshoot and optimize the migration process to ensure minimal downtime during cutover.
Work closely with internal teams (business analysts, IT, project managers) and external vendors to ensure a smooth migration process.
Provide regular updates and reports on the progress of data migration activities.
Provide post-migration support to resolve any data-related issues and ensure ongoing system performance.
Conduct training for end-users on how to handle migrated data in the new Temenos system.
Preferences
Background in Big Data Engineering and Advanced Data Analytics
Experience developing solutions for the financial services industry
Experience in Agile Software Development
Experience or exposure to cloud technologies and migrations
Prior banking or financial services experience
Temenos certifications or other relevant banking software certifications.
Experience in implementing core banking systems or large-scale financial systems.
Knowledge of regulatory andpliance requirements for data handling in financial institutions.
This position is intended to be onsite, now or in the near future . Associates will have regular work hours, including full days in the office three or more days a week. The manager will set the work schedule for this position, including in-office expectations. Regions will not provide relocation assistance for this position, and relocation would be at your expense.
