Job Title: Test Engineer
Job Description
As a Test Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain test procedures, tester hardware, and software for electronic circuit board production with limited supervision. You will collaborate with cross-functional peers on diverse customer projects and review circuit board designs for testability requirements. Your role involves supporting manufacturing through failure analysis, tester debugging, and minimizing intermittent failures and downtime of test equipment.
Responsibilities
Prepare recommendations for testing and documentation of procedures from the product design phase through initial production.
Generate reports and analysis of test data, preparing documentation and recommendations.
Regularly review test equipment designs, data, and RMA issues with customers.
Design and lead engineering and technical personnel in the fabrication of testing and test control apparatus and equipment.
Direct and coordinate engineering activities for the development, procurement, installation, and calibration of instruments, equipment, and control devices required for testing.
Determine conditions under which tests are conducted and the sequences and phases of test operations.
Control operational, functional, and performance phases of tests.
Perform moderately complex assignments in engineering test functions for standard and custom projects, interpreting test data, and preparing technical reports.
Conduct tests on machinery and equipment using computer software and hardware.
Develop and maintain semi-routine techniques according to established standards, including ISO and QS development standards.
Provide training in new procedures to production testing staff.
Adhere to all safety and health regulations and comply with company security policy.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in test plan development and test engineering.
Strong knowledge of Python, JavaScript, and C#.
Bachelor of Science in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
1-2 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in a manufacturing-related industry.
Experience in Electronics and HW testing.
Ability to build and create test benches.
Understanding of schematics.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with scripting languages like Linux is a plus.
Ability to understand and modify test scripts as needed.
Capability to solve random failures through interrogation of test logs, software, physical measurement, and visual identification.
Contribute to the development of DOE and data gathering for ongoing failure trend resolution.
Project management skills.
Work Environment

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Memphis, Tennessee.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $29.00/hr.
