Position Description:
CGI is looking for strong Quality/Test Engineer with the ability to independently work alongside the client, business, and development Teams. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing tests to ensure the quality and functionality of systems as well as documenting test results and collaborating with development teams to resolve any identified issues. This position is located in our Fairfax, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable. Your future duties and responsibilities:
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements, acceptance criteria, and product testing parameters. Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies. Identify test scenarios and create detailed test cases. Perform manual and automation testing using Selenium, Cucumber, Cypress, etc. Sound knowledge on CI/CD process to own, create, and execute automation tests related pipelines. Perform exploratory testing using various modern tools and techniques. Report the test results and defects to the development team and other stakeholders and work on their resolution. Ability to analyze the test results and identify areas of weakness and provide recommendations with metrics. Work with testing tools such as Junit, Soap UI, Postman, Selenium, Cucumber, Cypress, JMeter, DBeaver, and OpenTelemetry, Docker, etc. Experience with Functional Testing, Integration Testing, Regression Testing, and have knowledge of Performance Testing and Security Testing. Facilitate and support for a successful User Acceptance Testing preparation and support execution. Experience working in a SAFe Agile project and understand the expectations. Experience presenting test results to Management as well as the client. Good understanding of DevOps lifecycle, test environments and code promotion. Ability to provide suggestions and feedback to improve the quality of the processes put in place for continuous improvement. Has passion for testing and is able to drive value for the team. Ability to handle fast-paced environments with tight deadlines. Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Required qualifications to be successful in this role: Candidate should be good in testing process and defect management with 8+ years of experience. Excellent in Java programming and Object-oriented concepts. Excellent in Junit, SOAP UI, JMeter, OpenTelemetry, Selenium, and Cucumber. Exposure to automated testing Excellent data automation skills and SQL. Exposure to Agile testing process, API testing, UI testing, and database testing. Excellent communication skill to interact with all stakeholders and be a good team player. Must be open to change and continuous improvement Automation experience with Selenium and Cypress.
