Job Description
High-volume metal stamping processes. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in reading blueprints, CAD software, and operating basic machine tools. You will be responsible for troubleshooting manufacturing issues to ensure the precision and quality of stamped parts, and collaborate with other departments to determine tooling methods and design concepts. Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain progressive dies for high-volume metal stamping processes. Maintain and inspect molds. Troubleshoot manufacturing issues to ensure precision and quality of stamped parts. Collaborate with other departments to determine tooling methods and design concepts. Obtain quotes for new dies and die repairs. Develop engineering specifications including mechanics, materials, tolerances, designs, and cost estimates. Inspect finished dies for accuracy and functionality. Order tooling and components for new die builds. Supervise the initial use of tools in production. Essential Skills
Proficiency in reading blueprints and using CAD software. Experience with AutoCAD Design and electromechanical BOM. Strong knowledge of metal stamping tool design and injection mold design. 6+ years of tooling experience. Broad knowledge of mechanical engineering. Excellent root cause problem-solving skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in vendor communication. Experience in production support. Work Environment
This is an onsite, hands-on role supporting tooling design and modification with a 50-50 split between hands-on work and desk work. The work hours are from 6 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Thursday, and 6 AM to 10 AM on Friday, offering the opportunity for an extended weekend. The environment is dynamic with a high mix/low volume portfolio, providing variety and the chance to escape a regulated or siloed work environment. The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $52.89/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
