Nammo Perry, Inc. is a U.S. defense contractor and a member of the Nammo Group (Nammo AS). Nammo Perry develops, manufactures and specializes in propulsion and energetic material products for tactical missiles, rocket motors, and warheads. Nammo Perry is presently expanding operations and is looking for dedicated team members to assist with new start-up operations and program execution. The Tooling Engineer will contribute to the design, development, and manufacturing of critical tooling used in the production of solid rocket motors. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced engineers and technicians, gaining valuable hands-on experience in a fast-paced, high-tech environment. Responsibilities • Assist in the design and analysis of tooling for solid rocket motor components, including cases, nozzles, igniters, and propellant grains. · Support the development and optimization of manufacturing processes for tooling fabrication · Collaborate with senior engineers to create detailed CAD models and engineering drawings of tooling. · Participate in tooling qualification and validation activities, including inspections and testing. · Contribute to troubleshooting and problem-solving related to tooling performance and production issues. · Learn and apply industry standards, safety protocols, and quality control procedures. · Maintain Accurate documentation of tooling designs, modifications, and performance data. Requirements, Education, and Skills · Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field. · Strong foundational understanding of mechanical design principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes. · Proficiency in CAD Software (NX Preferred) is highly desirable. · Basic understanding of GD&T. · Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software. · Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. · Preferred internship or project experience related to tooling design, manufacturing, or aerospace. · Preferred familiarity with FEA software · Preferred knowledge of various manufacturing techniques such as CNC machining, additive manufacturing, and casting. · Strong presentation, organizational and interpersonal skills. Clear written and oral communication skills. · Have demonstrated capability for independent work and creativity · Ability to work within a cross functional team and a dynamic environment. · High ethical standards of work and personal conduct. · Ability and willingness to work outside of standard work hours when needed to resolve issues. · Ability to obtain BATF approval to work with our products. · Ability to qualify for and, if necessary, obtain DoD security clearance. • US Citizenship is REQUIRED · Work Location: Tallahassee, Florida with Travel to Perry, Florida as required Training: · Year-Long Training Plan · Safety Orientation · HAZWOPPER Aware/Right to Know · Annual Drug and Alcohol Awareness · Annual Ethics Refresher · CUI and OPSEC
