Nammo Perry, Inc. is a U.S. defense contractor and a member of the Nammo Group (Nammo AS). Nammo Perry develops, manufactures and specializes in propulsion and energetic material products for tactical missiles, rocket motors, and warheads. Nammo Perry is presently expanding operations and is looking for dedicated team members to assist with new start-up operations and program execution. The Tooling Engineer will contribute to the design, development, and manufacturing of critical tooling used in the production of solid rocket motors. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced engineers and technicians, gaining valuable hands-on experience in a fast-paced, high-tech environment. Responsibilities • Assist in the design and analysis of tooling for solid rocket motor components, including cases, nozzles, igniters, and propellant grains. · Support the development and optimization of manufacturing processes for tooling fabrication · Collaborate with senior engineers to create detailed CAD models and engineering drawings of tooling. · Participate in tooling qualification and validation activities, including inspections and testing. · Contribute to troubleshooting and problem-solving related to tooling performance and production issues. · Learn and apply industry standards, safety protocols, and quality control procedures. · Maintain Accurate documentation of tooling designs, modifications, and performance data. Requirements, Education, and Skills · Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field. · Strong foundational understanding of mechanical design principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes. · Proficiency in CAD Software (NX Preferred) is highly desirable. · Basic understanding of GD&T. · Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software. · Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. · Preferred internship or project experience related to tooling design, manufacturing, or aerospace. · Preferred familiarity with FEA software · Preferred knowledge of various manufacturing techniques such as CNC machining, additive manufacturing, and casting. · Strong presentation, organizational and interpersonal skills.
