- In the In-house design group, design develop construction plans for multiple transportation projects from inception to construction.
- Assist with project scope development including schedule and budget.
- Attend project scope field reviews.
- Lead/facilitate meetings to resolve engineering, NEPA, budgetary and all other challenges impacting project delivery and cost.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, local agencies, and internal staff.
- Ideal candidates will have expertise in one or more of the following technical disciplines: Structures, Geotechnical, Roadway, Geometrics or Hydraulics.
- Excellent communication, leadership & interpersonal skills.
- A skilled individual with experience in the use of ORD and other software that is used to develop contract plans.
Qualifications
Licensed as registered professional engineer by Ohio State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors; 12 mos. exp. as group or project leader providing work direction & training to engineering technicians &/or lower-level engineers or 12 mos. exp. in conducting engineering related research (i.e., conducting engineering related research only applies to staff specialist positions); if assigned to operate a state vehicle to travel to & inspect project sites, must possess valid driver's license.
-Or licensed as registered professional engineer by Ohio State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors; 12 mos. exp. as Transportation Engineer 2, 85642; if assigned to operate a state vehicle to travel to & inspect project sites, must possess valid driver's license.
-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above may be substituted for the experience required, but not for the mandated registration.
