Transportation Graduate Engineer - Wisconsin Westwood Professional Services, Inc. Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is looking to expand our services in the state of Wisconsin! Become a member of Westwood’s transportation service team in Wisconsin working as part of a multidisciplinary design team. As part of our team, you will have an opportunity to shape local and regional infrastructure within the community you live. Candidates must have a willingness to perform a variety of civil engineering tasks supporting various project types and project managers. Duties and Responsibilities
Work as a key member of a roadway design team under the direction of a Project Engineer/Project Manager. Job duties may include, but are not limited to: Research and evaluation of data Conduct field reviews and other assessments Prepare detailed engineering calculations Assist with the creation and submission of technical reports, presentations and exhibits Prepare detailed construction drawings, including horizontal and vertical alignments; plan and profile; utility design and relocation; streetscape and roadway improvements; bicycle and pedestrian facilities; signing, striping and signalization Prepare construction cost estimates/quantity takeoffs Coordinate with internal team members, government entities, utility service providers and subconsultants Manage task assignments for budget and schedule adherence Perform reviews of all work product for accuracy Ensures division, regional, and company values, policies and practices are consistently followed within the survey service Lead by example – display solid judgment, good values, trust, honesty, openness, and professionalism Required Skills
Outgoing, friendly, approachable Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet project deadlines Detail-oriented with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment Ability to work independently and as part of a team Prior exposure to Autodesk Civil3D, Highway Capacity Software, and Synchro Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Able to follow directions and guidelines for the firm’s policies, practices, and procedures Required Experience
0-2 years of relevant experience BS in Civil Engineering EIT certification or the ability to obtain within 6 months
