In this role, youll collaborate cross-functionally to deliver robust, efficient, and secure platform solutionsdirectly influencing Walmarts digital transformation. What Youll Do Lead design, implementation, and optimization of backend services for AI/ML workflows Develop and scale LLM integration layers, vector search, and embedding pipelines Oversee robust error handling, retries, caching, and observability (metrics, logging, tracing) Drive code quality through reviews, testing, and CI/CD best practices Partner on system architecture and technical decisions with engineering and product teams What Youll Bring 5+ years of advanced Python development (async/await); strong API experience (FastAPI, Django, or similar) Proven experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and vector databases Expertise in cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, or AWS) and distributed systems Strong testing background (pytest/unit/integration); observability tooling proficiency Familiarity with front-end development (JavaScript/HTML) and security best practices for AI platforms At Walmart, we offer competitive pay as well as performance-based bonus awards and other great benefits for a happier mind, body, and wallet.
