The User Experience Designer is responsible for leading the planning, design, and development activities to create user experiences for devices, tools, and systems. Responsibilities include establishing interactive conventions, gathering user requirements, mocking-up user experiences, participating in trade-off discussions with development teams and subject matter experts, analyzing tool sets, creating screen mock-ups, and helping customers envision new interactive techniques and technologies. The role applies visualization and screen design expertise to craft successful user experiences. The Level 2 User Experience Designer shall possess the following capabilities: Operate in an agile environment, delivering weekly User Experience feedback. Conduct User Experience research and optimization. Create visual designs, storyboards, interaction flows, and interface guidelines. Adopt a user-centered approach to design solutions aligning with user needs and product strategies. Collaborate with Product Owners to prototype and iterate design solutions rapidly. Review final implementations with front-end developers to ensure design standards are met. Communicate effectively across teams and stakeholders, providing inspiration and feedback. Lead project lifecycle design, including customer interviews, requirement articulation, visual design, presentation, and problem-solving. Manage diverse engineering teams in User Experience research and optimization. Required Qualifications: Current TS/SCI clearance with polygraph. Ten (10) years of experience in User Experience Design, with at least five years leading project lifecycle design in the last 10 years. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or four years of additional relevant experience in lieu of degree. This position is not eligible for relocation.
