KPMG is seeking a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) Engineer to join our Digital Nexus technology organization in a hybrid work setting. Responsibilities: Collaborate with virtualization operations and engineering teams to gather requirements, build, deploy, and provide technical leadership for VDI solutions supporting multiple locations and environments. Contribute to the organization's technology planning, ensuring effective integration with network security infrastructure; work with various tech teams and vendors to deliver comprehensive networking solutions. Design, upgrade, test, and modify VDI environments based on capacity needs; troubleshoot system and network issues; stay informed on industry trends; ensure timely delivery of quality products. Provide expert guidance for planning and procedures; ensure adherence to development processes, meet performance and budget goals; support operations with root cause analysis and preventative measures. Develop configuration management and automation tools; train team members on virtualization operations and engineering. Qualifications: At least seven years of recent experience in virtualization design and engineering, managing large projects and automation; experience with cloud-hosted VDI solutions is required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Skills in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix DaaS, Citrix NetScaler/ADC/VPX, Citrix Gateway, Citrix App Layering, XenServer, VMWare ESXi. Strong understanding of multi-site VDI environments and networking equipment. Proficiency in PowerShell scripting; capable of creating technical documentation; eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
