Design systems to safely, efficiently, and effectively transport drinking water and/or wastewater to and from end users, including pumping and storage projects
Assist in the design of water and wastewater treatment facilities, supporting senior engineering staff
Assess the need for drinking water and/or wastewater treatment systems based on current and projected future population and/or development demands; conduct feasibility studies for new or expanded public utility infrastructure
Analyze and recommend water and wastewater treatment technologies based on project requirements and effectiveness
Design and develop specifications for various pumping and force main systems
Ensure design and equipment specifications comply with applicable local, state, and federal guidelines and codes
Prepare feasibility studies related to the collection, treatment, and distribution of water and wastewater
Conduct appropriate cost-benefit analyses for assigned projects.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
BS or MS in Civil Engineering
Registration as a licensed Professional Engineer
Experience designing water treatment plants, in part or in whole, a plus
5+ years of experience in public infrastructure projects related to Water Resources field
Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication, as well as time management skills
Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet deadlines and other assigned project parameters
Detail-oriented team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment
