Web Test Engineer - Manual/Automation

We are looking for a skilled Web Test Engineer - Manual/Automation to complete application programming interface and web application testing on our in house designed software; focused on completing manual testing while developing their automation skill set. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of APIs, web applications, database and familiarity with mobile apps, desktop application, networking and security. The right candidate is one who performs productively in a fast-paced work environment, works efficiently on multiple projects simultaneously, has strong communication skills, and a proven track record of handling repetitive tasks. Job ** Carry out all aspects of API testing, both front and back-end testing, including browser compatibility, and performance in a web environment Complete backend testing using APIs and MySQL queries, use advanced joins, subqueries, and temp tables to alter or gain insight into data and to generate reports Create and execute manual test scripts for regression, and performance/stress testing Maintain existing and write new automation tools/testing procedures to support testing efforts Log and track software defects proposing solutions to errors that arise Maintain strong project management skills ensuring all steps of designated projects are completed while communicating with stakeholders any defects or issues Stay current with industry trends in testing tools and technologies Core * Bachelors degree, preferably in computer science, engineering, or technology 2+ years of industry experience in manual system testing of web applications Demonstrated experience in unit, functional, regression, performance, installation, compatibility, end-to-end/system, and incremental integration testing Experience with of one or more of the following, C#, Java, Python, JavaScript and PHP Desired **** Knowledgeable of automation tools such as Ranorex, Selenium, etc. and/or experience with repository tools like Git, Subversion Strong understanding of relational databases Familiarity with page object model test frameworks, deploying and maintaining local WAMP stacks are advantageous Canfield Imaging Systems is the world-leading developer of specialized photographic systems for medical practices, institutions, research organizations, and pharmaceutical suppliers. The anticipated salary range for the position is $60,000.00-$80,000.00 annually. This is dependent upon consideration of multiple factors when determining a base salary such as a candidates experience, education, and current market conditions.
