Wireless Network Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Wireless Network Engineer who will be responsible for doing wireless surveys within networks. The network engineer will be hybrid in RTP, NC.
Responsibilities for the Wireless Network Engineer include:
Deliver operational support for complex wireless network configurations and deployments.
Diagnose and resolve Wi-Fi and RF-related issues across diverse client environments.
Perform predictive modeling and on-site RF surveys to optimize wireless coverage and performance.
Contribute to both high-level and detailed wireless network design initiatives.
Assist with planning, configuring, and executing wireless network implementations.
Travel up to % or more to customer locations for site surveys, installations, and troubleshooting.
Requirements for the Wireless Network Engineer include:
5+ years of experience in IT or network engineering roles.
Proficient in RF design techniques, including predictive modeling and AP-on-a-stick surveys.
Solid understanding of Layer 3 networking protocols.
Foundational knowledge of LAN switching and Layer 2 troubleshooting.
Expertise in wireless survey tools such as Ekahau or AirMagnet.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
