Piper Companies is seeking a Wireless Network Engineer to join a cutting-edge team supporting enterprise-level wireless infrastructure. This hybrid role is based in RTP, NC, and offers the opportunity to work hands-on with advanced Wi-Fi technologies while traveling to client sites for high-impact deployments and surveys.
Responsibilities for the Wireless Network Engineer include : Deliver operational support for complex Wi-Fi network deployments and configurations Troubleshoot wireless and RF issues across diverse enterprise environments Conduct predictive and on-site RF surveys using tools like Ekahau or AirMagnet Contribute to both high-level and low-level wireless network design Support network implementation planning, configuration, and testing Travel 50% or more to customer sites for surveys, deployments, and troubleshooting Requirements for the Wireless Network Engineer include: 5+ years of experience in the IT or network engineering field Strong background in RF design, including predictive modeling and AP-on-a-stick surveys Working knowledge of Layer 3 protocols and basic LAN switching Proficiency with Ekahau or AirMagnet survey tools Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field Compensation for the Wireless Network Engineer includes: Salary Range: $90,000 - $133,000 Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), PTO, holidays, and sick leave as required by law
