Support the development of architectural blueprints for new networks and enhancements to production networks. Apply specific functional knowledge and working or general industry knowledge. Develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance. May review or guide activities of more junior employees. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.
Basic Qualifications:
1+ years of experience in telecom engineering, including RAN, LTE or 5G NR, or O-RAN systems
Experience applying AI and ML in networking, signal processing, or automation contexts
Experience with tools such as Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, ONNX, Kubernetes, and gNB simulators, including OAI, srsRAN, or commer cia l stacks
Experience with xApps or rApps, RIC platforms, and O-RAN Alliance specs
Knowledge of 3GPP, CU/DU architectures, and RAN protocols, including RRC, PDCP, RLC, MAC, and PHY
Ability to drive collaboration across engineering and product teams
Bachelor's degree in an Electrical Engineering field
Additional Qualifications:
Experience with AI model deployment in low-latency or embedded environments
Experience with standards bodies such as 3GPP or O-RAN Alliance
Experience in open-source RAN or AI projects such as OSC, Nephio, or Magma
Possession of excellent communication skills
Master's degree in EE, CS, or a related field

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
