Antenna Engineer
Your mission is to accelerate the development of novel antenna technologies at the core of a next-generation approach to LEO satellite communications. You will be responsible for research, simulation, design, optimization, testing, and calibration, leading to the rapid deployment of these technologies in an operational satellite constellation.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research, simulation, and design of novel antenna technologies.
- Optimize and test antennas for deployment in satellite constellations.
- Lead the calibration of antenna systems to ensure operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with a team to develop scalable space infrastructure.
Essential Skills:
- Proficiency in simulation tools such as ANSYS HFSS and CST.
- Experience designing electronically scanned antennas.
- At least 5 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree, or a Master's degree in an engineering discipline with an emphasis on electromagnetic theory and/or microwave circuits.
- Strong understanding of electromagnetics and optics in microwave systems.
- Experience in designing compact antennas such as patches and horns.
- Expertise in electromagnetic simulation tools like HFSS, CST, or FEKO.
- Application of system simulation tools like Python or MATLAB.
- Familiarity with range testing and the ability to operate relevant test equipment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience developing reflectarray or transmitarray antennas.
- Experience designing antennas for PCB manufacturability.
- Broader experience in RF/microwave systems, particularly in the 10.7 GHz 51.4 GHz range.
- Experience with passive RF component characterization.
- Experience with near field antenna range testing.
- Experience with advanced beamforming methods.
- Experience using automation for exploratory RF design analysis.
- Experience with space-qualified systems.

Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $100,000.00 - $240,000.00/year. This temporary role may be eligible for the following:
