What You'll Do
As an Application Engineer III, you will lead building automation projects with a methodical and collaborative approach - from project kickoff through final commissioning. You will play a central role in designing solutions that meet client needs while upholding standards of accuracy, detail, and dependability.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of the technical scope for complex building automation projects.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, other engineers, and technicians to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
- Apply disciplined workflows and documentation practices to ensure consistency, traceability, and clarity throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead design reviews, encouraging collaboration with other meeting attendees to ensure a quality solution.
- Create detailed engineering documents, drawings, and sequences of operation that align precisely with customer requirements and internal standards.
- Support field teams by providing structured handoffs, clear specifications, and ongoing collaboration.
- Maintain a systematic focus on quality control, accuracy, and adherence to project timelines and budgets.
- Participate in and contribute to internal training initiatives and mentoring efforts to support team development and standardization.
- Is naturally curious and committed to understanding systems fully before implementing solutions.

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in building automation or HVAC controls engineering.
- Familiarity with Delta Controls, Tridium, or similar BAS platforms preferred.
- Proficient in creating control system drawings, sequences, and equipment schedules.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems and control logic.
- Demonstrated experience leading project teams or owning project deliverables.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
