Job Title: Apprentice Engineer
Reports To: Department: Property Management
FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt
PURPOSE:
To support Property Management staff, Supervisor, and Moody Rambin in sustaining a portfolio of highly satisfied customers while serving as a valued member of a high performing team and company.

Service Oriented • Basic mechanical skills • Basic computer skills • Positive attitude • Good work ethic and ability to multitask • Good communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to make logical decisions • Desire to learn building operations, and maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire & safety, elevators, security, structural / roof systems, preventative maintenance record keeping
KEY OUTCOME/ RESULTS FOR WHICH THIS POSITION WILL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE:
Operate within the Vision, Mission and Cove Values of Moody Rambin Interests Office Services • Effective interpersonal relationships with owners, team members, tenants, vendors and others • Close working relationship with the property managers and their staff to assure that all goals for the properties are met in a timely manner • Dependability and punctuality
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
A valid driver’s license is required • A high school education or GED is required • Average of 3 years’ experience in commercial building operations • Average of 3 years’ experience in current position • Continuing education at various levels will be required
JOB DESCRIPTION
Respond to tenant calls (on and offsite) assigned by the management office • Provide Supervisor with month end data regarding, ESR (Engineering status reports), meter readings, overtime, expenses, and maintenance checklists in a timely and effective manner • Communicate with Supervisor on a daily basis to discuss daily and weekly priority projects and any problems that need attention • Complete restroom inspections with porter monthly.• Order supplies or equipment from local suppliers as needed, budgeted or instructed by supervisor • Perform various other functions as directed by the Supervisor • Attend monthly training meetings
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS LIFTING
Lifting 50 pounds or more, standing, squatting, walking, for extended periods of time.
