Position Overview
We're on the lookout for a bright and enthusiastic Associate Data Engineer to join our growing team and help us turn raw data into valuable insights. If you have a solid foundation in data engineering principles and are eager to build your skills with dbt, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. You'll play a key role in building and maintaining the data pipelines and models that power our organization's analytics and reporting. The Role Data Modeling: Contribute to the design and implementation of well-structured data models using dbt, focusing on data accuracy and consistency across different data sources. Data Pipelines: Assist in developing and maintaining efficient data pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into our data warehouse. dbt Development: Utilize dbt to develop reusable and maintainable data transformations, write tests, and contribute to documentation under guidance. Data Quality: Help implement data quality checks and monitoring processes to ensure the reliability of our data. Collaboration: Work closely with data analysts and more senior team members to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions. Optimization: Learn and contribute to the optimization of data pipelines and models for better performance and scalability. Documentation: Assist in creating clear and understandable documentation for data pipelines, models, and processes. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field. 1-3 years of experience in a Data Engineer or similar role, or relevant internships and projects. Solid proficiency in SQL (e.g., Snowflake, Google BigQuery) and Python. Good understanding of dbt and its core concepts. Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus. Familiarity with basic data warehousing concepts and tools. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Ability to learn quickly and work effectively both independently and within a team. Preferred Skills: Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a bonus. Basic understanding of data governance concepts.
