The Opportunity
The Associate Software Engineer enhances our applications using a combination of technologies and standard engineering practices. They are responsible for working with the client application teams, quality assurance team, and architect team to ensure the delivery of high quality, high value product features.
Responsibilities
What You Will Do
- Development of large-scale enterprise applications that service multiple client applications
- Build reusable code and libraries using efficient, testable coding practices
- Logically identify and resolve issues using root cause analysis
- Provide development support in debugging and resolving defects as assigned, in support of assigned development projects and/or testing efforts
- Provide estimates of level of work effort and time for completion
- Participate in agile ceremonies

Qualifications
What You Bring to the Team
- BS degree in Computer Sciences, programming or a related discipline or demonstrable equivalent experience
- Fundamental understanding of Object-Oriented Programming Principles, Data Structures, and Algorithms
- Capable of implementing small pieces of functionality and bug fixes under the close guidance of a Senior Developer
- Capable of delivering work that has already been clearly defined and outlined
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task efficiently
- Is eager to learn AI technologies and leverage them in software engineering practices.
- Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to analyze situations, identify existing or potential problems and recommend solutions
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- The physical activities of this position include frequent sitting, telephone communication, and working on a computer for extended periods. Visual acuity is required to perform activities close to the eyes.
- Team members are expected to maintain a dedicated and ergonomically appropriate remote workspace.
- Team members who live within commuting distance of one of our office locations (Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky or Atlanta, Georgia) are expected to work in a hybrid capacity, with regular in-office presence as determined by the team or department.
- Team members who live outside of commuting distance will be designated as remote team members. While not required to report to an office regularly, remote team members may be expected to travel to a designated office location occasionally for team meetings, training, or other business needs with reasonable notice.
