About the Role:
Everest is seeking a hands-on DevOps Lead/Manager to drive DevSecOps maturity and transform the developer experience. This strategic role leads the DevSecOps Engineering team, builds secure CI/CD/CT pipelines, and develops a self-service Developer Portal. You'll collaborate across engineering, cloud, and security teams to embed automation and security throughout the software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Lead the design and implementation of secure CI/CD/CT pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub, and Terraform, integrating security tools and promoting shift-left practices. Manage and mentor the DevSecOps Engineering team, fostering a culture of automation, innovation, and continuous improvement. Collaborate with cloud, security, and development teams to align DevSecOps strategies across the software lifecycle. Architect and develop a self-service Developer Portal (IDP) with reusable templates for infrastructure provisioning, API management, and deployment. Embed automated security scans, compliance checks, and policy enforcement throughout CI/CD workflows. Drive tooling and automation initiatives to streamline developer workflows, infrastructure provisioning, and application monitoring. Qualifications 8 + years in DevSecOps, cloud technologies, and infrastructure management 5+ years leading DevSecOps teams and delivering automation solutions Proven experience with Azure (plus GCP/Oracle/AWS is a bonus) Expertise in CI/CD tools: Azure DevOps, GitHub, Terraform, PowerShell, Ansible Hands-on with cloud-native tech (Kubernetes, Docker) and cloud cost management Strong background in Infrastructure-as-Code and reusable template creation Deep understanding of security best practices in cloud and CI/CD environments Technical Skills Proficiency in Terraform, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Ansible Familiarity with container security, cloud monitoring tools (Dynatrace, Grafana, Azure Monitor) Experience with API management (especially Azure APIM) Preferred Qualifications Experience with ADO pipelines and GitHub Actions Hands-on with developer portals (e.g., Port.io) and reusable frameworks Proficient in scripting languages: PowerShell, Python, Go, Bash, Ansible Familiarity with cloud governance, cost management, and incident response Experience managing vendor relationships and staying current with cloud trends Ability to drive consensus on infrastructure standards and best practices Expertise in supporting application, platform, and security architecture teams For CA, NY, NJ or IL: The base salary range for this position is $173,000 - $237,500 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location.
