Our client, a leader in property management, is seeking a Building Engineer to join their team. As a Building Engineer, you will be part of the operations team supporting various properties. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a customer-focused mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Building Engineer

Location: Jacksonville, FL

What's the Job?

Perform technical and mechanical functions as directed by the Regional Operations Manager to ensure maximum efficiency and service to the building and its tenants.
Conduct daily local travel between properties to perform troubleshooting and repairs of facility systems including HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and minor electrical tasks (company vehicle included)
Assist with installation and alterations of building equipment systems while maintaining compliance with safety regulations.
Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions and complete assigned work orders in a timely manner.
Interact with tenants professionally and respond immediately to emergency situations and customer concerns.

What's Needed?

High School Diploma or GED with technical, vocational, or on-the-job training in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, or plumbing.
At least three years of experience in commercial HVAC maintenance.
Familiarity with fire/life safety equipment and procedures.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact successfully with tenants, vendors, and contractors.
Universal Certification and a valid, clean driving record.
