Our client, a leading facility management organization, is seeking a Building Engineer to join their team. As a Building Engineer, you will be part of the operations team supporting the maintenance and functionality of essential building systems. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Building Engineer

Location: Fairfax, VA

What's the Job?

Perform maintenance and repairs on Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, and HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance.
Maintain responsibility for facility services, including preventative maintenance, purchasing, and inventory control.
Conduct cleaning, inspecting, calibrating, and part replacement for HVAC systems and associated equipment.
Record equipment readings and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper operation.
Monitor the quality and pricing of maintenance work performed by outside contractors.

What's Needed?

High School Diploma or Equivalent.
2-4 years of experience in maintaining and repairing commercial building systems.
Ability to analyze and troubleshoot Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems.
EPA 608 Type II Certification.
Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel.
