About the Role

We're seeking a skilled CFM 56 Engine Expert to join our team. If you have hands-on experience with aircraft engine repair and are eager to be part of a dynamic team, we encourage you to apply!

This position is perfect for someone with strong theoretical knowledge and practical experience in aircraft modular engine repair. As our in-house expert, you will oversee the inspection, diagnosis, disassembly, repair, reassembly, and testing of CFM 56 engines. This role requires relocation to Tucson, AZ.

Responsibilities

  • Engine Inspection & Diagnosis: Inspect engines and diagnose issues.
  • Modular Repair Planning: Develop work scopes and repair plans using OEM technical data.
  • Project Management: Create repair timelines and collaborate to establish budgets.
  • Disassembly & Repair: Oversee the complete disassembly, repair, and reassembly of engines.
  • Tool Management: Identify, source, and manage tools for engine inspections and repairs.
  • Testing & Quality Control: Supervise engine testing to ensure top-quality performance.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records throughout the repair process.

Qualifications

  • Hands-On Expertise: Strong mechanical skills with experience in engine diagnostics and repairs.
  • Problem Solver: Solution-oriented mindset with excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous record-keeping and adherence to technical specifications.
  • Team Player & Leader: Strong supervisory skills, able to mentor technicians and improve shop processes.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication.

Minimum Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with CFM 56 modular engine maintenance in a leadership role.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and sit or stand for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Engineering degree from a 4-year accredited institution.
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License.
  • Previous experience in a Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) organization.
  • Strong communication and teaching skills.
