Chief Cyber Systems Engineer

Dark Wolf Solutions is looking for a Chief Cyber Systems Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will coordinate with additional PMO personnel to assist with generating system operation and technical requirements. The Chief Cyber Systems Engineer will play a crucial role in designing system improvements, and identifying opportunities to improve overall customer systems and planning how to implement improvements organization wide. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the current system, proposing changes and ensuring smooth integration of said changes. Dark Wolf is the prime contractor for this effort.
This position is a pivotal program leadership role that directly impacts the development and maintenance of advanced cyber warfare capabilities. The successful candidate will be comfortable executing at a high level of responsibility and with decision-making authority throughout the engineering lifecycle. The candidate's effectiveness in managing the technical team and ensuring compliance with stringent security requirements is essential for achieving cyberspace superiority, protecting critical IT infrastructure, and supporting global operations against sophisticated adversaries, thereby contributing directly to national security.
Tasks may include assisting with: Eliciting user input to generate system operational and technical requirements in coordination with PMO personnel. Collaborating with various teams to ensure that the improvements align with the organization's goals and enhance overall efficiency. Using Stakeholder Analysis, Design Tradeoffs, and Requirements Engineering to define system end state. Examining user needs and how the entire system should operate. Comprehending data and data movement across multiple domains and networks. Using Stakeholder Analysis, Design Tradeoffs, and Requirements Engineering to define system end state. Understanding the modern software Agile development methodologies and processes, software developers and integrators use to accomplish customer requirements. Participating in Planning Increment (PI) and Sprint Planning cycles and identifying issues or concerns to program leadership. Managing and driving the requirements that make it into the Backlog using an Agile development methodology and processes to accomplish software development or integration requirements. Prioritizing and driving Sprint Planning cycles with direction from the government stekeholders. Identifying issues or concerns and communicating them to the program leadership. Maintaining and updating appropriate Confluence and JIRA repositories as appropriate. Required Qualifications: Minimum 7 years experience using Agile software development practices Minimum 5 years leading technical teams through engineering lifecycles Minimum 5 years creating detailed systems engineering plans to ensure systems work effectively for specific needs Minimum 5 years using key system engineering principles and practices to build secure, efficient, and resilient systems Minimum 5 years proven experience within DOD or the IC in data and data movement across multiple domains Minimum 5 years experience with data and IT systems recovery Minimum 3 - 5 years hands-on experience with cloud computing systems like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform Minimum 3 - 5 years system data integration to ensure that all the system and system components work as designed Minimum 3 years creating detailed engineering plans to ensure systems work effectively for specific needs Minimum 3 years experience developing DoDAF artifacts Minimum 3 years designing data management and analytics systems Minimum 3 years hands-on experience with data systems like SQL, NoSQL, graph stores Minimum 3 years experience with data and IT systems recovery Detailed knowledge of data types and formats as well as storage practices and design patterns Detailed knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices and design patterns Detailed knowledge of Systems Modeling Language (SysML) practices and design patterns Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, or equivalent technical degree; or in lieu of degree, 5 years of equivalent industry experience Preferred experience should be in DOD or the IC US Citizenship required, must be clearable up to Top Secret with polygraph Desired Qualifications: PMP Certification
This position is located in Fort Meade, MD. The estimated salary range for this position is $160,000.00 - $200,000.00, commensurate on experience and technical skillset.
