Primary responsibilities of the Chief Engineer as follows:

  • Serves as the chief technical authority on the RB program. Provides technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology.
  • Drives technical efficiencies throughout the software development life-cycle, across all TTOs
  • Engages technically with Government TDs and TO teams
  • Chairs the ROMB; Manages Risk & Opportunity across the program
  • Chairs the Innovation & Modernization Working Group
  • Develops responses to new TTOs at Government request

Basic Qualifications:

  • Twenty (20) years experience as a System or Software Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering and Software Architecture efforts. Ability to speak, understand and lead Agile software development efforts.
  • Knowledge of data collection and processing tools / methods / systems. Apply software and domain expertise to advise on best practices and tradeoffs.
  • Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university. Five (5) years of additional System Engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Desired Skills:

  • Five (5) years demonstrated experience leading large technology efforts (25 or more developers) with multiple task orders and contractor teams.
  • Knowledge of, or experience with, RF data collection and processing systems
  • Knowledge of, or experience with high-performance/parallel software applications
  • Knowledge of, or experience with telephony, network protocols, network mapping/analysis/exploitation,
  • Ability to analyze and recommend development solutions for system-level and operational requirements for upgrades to systems

  • Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
  • Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $164,300 - $289,800. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location.
