This role involves a wide range of site development tasks, including layout and design, grading, and construction administration. RESPONSIBILITIES Work in coordination with architects and educational planners to design site layouts, site grading, vehicular access and parking, athletic fields, and other design work. Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for new and existing educational facilities. Ensure compliance with local building codes, ADA standards, and educational facility regulations. Prepare civil engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates. Integrate sustainable design principles, including stormwater management and green infrastructure. Support construction administration and respond to RFIs and field issues during school construction. Use CAD and BIM tools to produce and revise engineering documentation.
REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited school is required. Professional Engineer (PE) license or master’s degree is preferred. 5+ years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on educational or institutional projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is required. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially with public sector clients. Strong knowledge of building codes, site development, and infrastructure systems Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs Ability to travel for project requirements, as needed.
