AWS Cloud Engineer Permanent role Job Responsibilities Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS) using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation), ensuring security, scalability, and reliability. Design and implement network solutions (VPC, subnets, Transit Gateway) and manage hybrid cloud connectivity (Direct Connect). Configure firewalls, security groups, network access control lists, and optimize network configurations (Elastic Load Balancer, Route 53). Ensure security compliance by managing IAM roles, implementing encryption, monitoring security events, and adhering to government standards (IM8). Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance and costs using AWS CloudWatch, Trusted Advisor, and CloudTrail. Develop, deploy, and maintain cloud-native applications such as Lambda, ECS, RDS to meet project needs. Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines, automate workflows, and adopt DevOps best practices using tools like GitLab. Manage and support AWS services including VPC, EC2, CloudWatch, RDS, security, and perform remediation as needed. Integrate AWS VPC and cloud systems with external systems. Administer Windows Server environments (2008/2008 R2/2012/2012 R2/2016/2019), including backup, restore, upgrade, domain setup, and security management. Manage third-party software and coordinate server activities such as hardware replacements. Set up and configure applications, handle deployments, and perform monthly and ad-hoc security patching for Windows, ESXi, and Linux systems.
