Cloudflare Implementation Engineer

TekStream is looking to make connections with Cloudflare Implementation Engineers who could help us with our anticipated Cloudflare pipeline work. A Cloudflare Implementation Engineer is responsible for assisting clients in setting up and integrating Cloudflare's web performance and security services into their infrastructure, ensuring optimal configuration and functionality based on their specific needs, often involving technical consultation, configuration management, and troubleshooting to deliver a seamless user experience. Would be good to have experience with Cloudflare Access and Cloudflare gateway and 3 to 5 years experience on installation, configuration and support specific to the Cloudflare Stack. Key responsibilities may include: Customer onboarding: Guiding new clients through the Cloudflare setup process, including domain configuration, DNS records, and security policy implementation. Technical consultation: Assessing client requirements and recommending the most suitable Cloudflare features and settings to address their specific needs (e.g., web application firewall (WAF), DDoS mitigation, caching, load balancing). Configuration management: Deploying and managing Cloudflare configurations on client networks, including firewall rules, custom security policies, and performance optimization settings. Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving issues related to Cloudflare service implementation, including network connectivity, performance bottlenecks, and security alerts. Monitoring and reporting: Monitoring client deployments to ensure optimal performance and security, providing regular status updates and identifying potential issues proactively. Knowledge transfer: Educating clients on Cloudflare's features, best practices, and how to effectively manage their Cloudflare configurations.
Required skills and experience: Networking expertise: Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP), network architecture, and routing concepts. Security knowledge: Familiarity with web application security best practices, common vulnerabilities, and security concepts like OWASP. Web development understanding: Basic understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to effectively troubleshoot client applications. Technical problem-solving: Ability to analyze complex technical issues, identify root causes, and devise effective solutions. Customer service skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, clearly explain technical concepts, and build strong relationships.
