Job Summary: As a platform engineer at MUFG, you will work at Technology Infrastructure and Operations (TIO) along with Enterprise Technology Services (ETS), Enterprise Information Security (EIS) and Risk and Control Office to build Kubernetes or Openshift based container platform. Container platform is part of MUFG Platform as a Service (PaaS). You will help us roll out container platform capabilities, using software engineering, Security Engineering, system reliability engineering (SRE) and open source software (OSS) for better application development experience and platform operations. You will also work with our application and infrastructure teams to architect, design and implement solutions, and your expertise in detailed technical design and development of system using emerging technology platforms will help lead MUFG towards true technology transformation. Responsibilities: Support technology strategy, governance, and end-to-end processes (e.g., Container Platform Orchestration) Implement automated and containerized cloud application platform solutions; focus on infrastructure concerns including networking, storage, virtualization, security, logging, monitoring, high availability and system resilience. The main role and responsibilities of system solutions engineering is to use deep technical expertise to address complex technical inquiries. Learn and fully understand the architecture of solution design, data landscape, data sources and applications. Act as a tech expert, making sure the technology performs its intended functions. Work closely with the solution architect, Infrastructure teams and the product developers, turning complex technical ideas into highly available, resilient, efficient, recoverable solutions. Recommend improvements to project management methodology and tools, as appropriate Partner with program management, architecture, system owners, 3rd party vendors, testing and other teams as necessary to ensure successful delivery Drive planning at the various organizational levels to ensure IT delivery is on track/resourced Ensure timetable and deliverable schedules are understood and communicated Manage dependencies and stakeholders proactively, coordinate across teams to resolve issues and mitigate risks Align, plan, and precisely manage activities and dependencies across delivery teams to ensure cohesive delivery Contribute to executive-level updates on strategy, budget, project delivery, controls, risks, etc. Organize and provide oversight on required reporting for business and technology management review sessions Track financials related to technology expenditures including software, hardware, and resource allocation Performing research and analysis on technical solutions designs and partner with infrastructure and work with developers to Install, configure solution. Advocate, innovate, and advance modern, agile solution delivery practices and evangelize great design, engineering, and organizational practices." Requirements: 5 years of systems engineering experience designing and implementing solutions on OpenShift Container Platform (OCP), focusing on high availability, disaster recovery, cost optimization, reliability, and performance efficiency; designing and developing automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, Ansible, Python and Shell Script; designing and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions on RedHat OpenShift on AWS (ROSA) and AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) platform. 5 years of experience supporting, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to OpenShift and migrating legacy monolithic applications to OpenShift and EKS platforms 5 years of experience developing custom dashboards, conducting root cause analysis using Dynatrace and Splunk to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and application issues 3 years of experience creating, deploying and managing CI/CD pipelines on OpenShift using Tekton, ArgoCD, GitHub ENT, Azure DevOps 3 years of experience implementing and maintaining RedHat Universal base image governance process and scanning images using RedHat Advanced Cluster Security (ACS) Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and diverse projects and initiatives including, analytical thinking, planning, prioritizing, problem solving, decision-making, and carrying out assigned projects and activities with minimal supervision. Successfully managed large scale and complex initiatives independently, from start to finish, with a duration of at least 6 months Experience in Compute infrastructure, virtualization technologies, Windows and Linux platform, public cloud, including hybrid data center networking, overlay networking, security, and automation." Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely-related discipline, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience The typical base pay range for this role is between $140K - $173K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
