Schedule: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Monday - Friday

Assignment Duration: The initial assignment length is 6-months with a high probability of being extended.

Compensation & Benefits: The hourly compensation pay rate range is between $35.00 - $40.00 Benefits include Co-paid Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance, Cafeteria Plan, and 401k.

Summary

Seeking a highly skilled Contract Sr. Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to lead the development and maintenance of both automated and manual testing solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with WebdriverIO or similar automation tools, and will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software through rigorous testing and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

This role involves creating and maintaining automated test suites, executing manual test cases when necessary, and establishing regular test schedules and reporting mechanisms. The engineer will also be responsible for tracking test execution, logging and managing defects in Jira, and maintaining comprehensive requirements traceability.

Working within an Agile environment, the candidate will support development and testing efforts across all environmentsincluding development, QA, UAT, and productionwhile leading UAT testing activities and providing on-call support when required. A proactive approach to troubleshooting and continuous improvement is essential.

Essential Functions

Design and Develop Automated Test Solutions:

Build and maintain scalable automated test frameworks using WebdriverIO or comparable tools.

Create end-to-end, integration, regression, and smoke test scripts to ensure high product quality.

Manual Testing Execution

Execute thorough manual test scenarios when automation is not viable or applicable.

Validate application behavior against business and technical requirements.

Test Case Management And Execution Tracking

Maintain detailed test cases and execution logs.

Track and report on test execution status, outcomes, and defect trends.

Scheduled Test Automation And Reporting

Establish and manage scheduled automated test runs in CI/CD pipelines.

Generate and distribute test reports to stakeholders in a clear and actionable format.

Defect Management Using Jira

Log, track, and manage defects in Jira, ensuring timely communication and resolution.

Collaborate with developers to reproduce, troubleshoot, and verify bug fixes.

Requirements Traceability

Develop and maintain requirements traceability matrices to ensure comprehensive test coverage.

Ensure test artifacts align with functional and non-functional requirements.

Agile Team Collaboration

Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Contribute to sprint goals by collaborating closely with cross-functional team members.

Environment And Release Support

Support testing across all environments including development, QA, UAT, and production.

Troubleshoot test failures and assist in issue resolution during release cycles.

Lead UAT Activities

Plan, coordinate, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders.

Collect and consolidate feedback, ensuring test completeness and user satisfaction.

On-Call And Production Support

Be available for on-call support during key releases or production incidents.

Quickly respond to test-related issues impacting delivery timelines or quality.

Required Qualifications

10 years Manual Test Script Execution experience.

8 years Automated QA Testing experience.

8 years QA Test Script Creation experience.

Preferred Qualifications

5 years QA Automated Test Case Reporting experience.

5 years JavaScript, HTML, Selenium experience.

3 years Agile, Scrum, and Jira, XRay experience.
